| That's what's more important.
wow it's been a while ...
so i had to take a poop today and i
decided that i needed to read more cuz i hate reading, so i took a book
with me. i happened to grab Boy Meets Girl,
by Joshua Harris, from my shelf. i quickly glanced through the table of
contents and found a chapter that had a title that immediately seized
my attention. so i flipped to the chapter and started reading. i read a
few pages and at the end of a section Josh Harris said something
interesting, something that deep down inside i knew in my heart and i'm
sure many of you Christians out there know it too, but we so often
forget. He said:
"[Be] more aware of God's grace than you are of your own sin."
so many times we mope around in
our own pasts, regretting the things that we did or how we wronged
others. Josh isn't saying to forget these things completely and learn
nothing from them, but don't focus so much on them that you lose sight
of God. If a man walks along a dirty path and all the while complains
with his head down staring at the dirt, how can he see the gorgeous sun
shining above him?
Not only that but by being more focused on our own sins and less on
God's grace, we in essence are saying that our own sin is greater than
God's grace ... that God in all His love and majesty can't or won't
forgive us of our sins ... that Christ's sacrifice on the cross did
nothing...
But God can forgive. He is willing and able to. All we need to do is
ask. He's like a father who wants so much to give us all the things we
need the most. He's just waiting for us to ask. I, for one, forget that
sometimes, especially when i've wronged someone or sinned against God.
Focus on Jesus and remember to ask Him for forgiveness.
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be
opened." ~ Luke 11:9-10

| OMGOODNESS! so jamber who i haven't
seen in like 7 years comes to visit for thanxgiving cuz his dad who's a
pastor now is asked to come and preach. so he's staying over at my
house and everything was going fine and i leave for college tomorrow
morning until ........ sharon chin decides to come over to watch anime
and so she had to go to the bathroom and she came bak and we were
watching anime and i started hearing water splashing. so i was like ...
wtfreak is that? and i walk towards the bathroom and i stepped into my
study room and my socks got all wet and i was like ...
..................... OMGOODNESS WAT IS THIS?!?! so i walk into my
bathroom and my toilet is pouring water onto the floor. not trickling,
POURING. so i tried flushing the toilet but the water didn't go down.
luckily that stopped anymore water from coming out. I stood there for
about 15 seconds in shock, freaking out in my mind, staring in the
water, thinking .... so wat do i do now .... then i shout to sharon and
jamber and i like ... um ... guys ... my bathroom ... flooded ...
so they come and they're like .... wow
this is bad ... so we grabbed a mop but that didn't work out too well
cuz one sweep and we would have to squeeze the water out of it. so they
told me to get towels and i was like ... we don't have any ... so i got
some paper towels to stop the spread of water into my study room along
the edges of the massive puddle. then i was like .... alright wat the
heck let me go get my bath towels ... i grabbed 2 big towels and went
bak down and we just kept soaking up water and squeezing it out into
the sink over and over for about an hour. wooooooooo. then i tried
flushing it again and the water didn't go down again and it came out
again. and we all freaked and jamber turned off the water flow and we
mopped up the water again.
after, we had water paranoia. i heard
running water upstairs and got really scared. turns out i just forgot
to turn off the faucet.
all in all it was a fun experience cuz
everyone was soo freaked out and i got to make fun of sharon, saying
that she got a maxi pad stuck in my toilet or how she's not allowed
near my toilets ever again and if she's over ever again and needs to
use my bathroom she'd need to take it outside.
yep that's my adventure for today. nite all
Mike
[edit]: Sharon didn't actually flush a maxipad down the toilet ... i was jk

| God ... is a funny God. This is God telling me to do homework.
A few weeks ago i go to a chinese
restaurant and when we were all done they brought us fortune cookies
and so i took one and cracked it open and this is wat the little slip
of paper said:
"Begin ... the rest is easy."
Oh how true that is.
